Business Opportunities for Asian Producers

Nov 6, 2008                                                                                                           BITEC,
Bangkok

Organic Monitor will conduct the first-ever workshop on natural & organic cosmetics ingredients in Asia. The workshop will take place in BITEC (Bangkok), alongside In-Cosmetics Asia, November 4-6th.

Workshop Overview
Natural & organic is the fastest growing sector of the cosmetics industry, with global sales increasing by over US $1 billion a year. North American and European companies are mainly capitalising on the boom in this dynamic market, however Asia has the potential to become an important source of natural & organic cosmetic ingredients. With over half of the 30 million hectares of certified organic farmland, the Asia-Pacific is already an important source of organic foods and is well-established as a supplier of natural ingredients.

The workshop aims to educate delegates on the potential of the fast-growing natural & organic cosmetics market. Features of the workshop:

   > What ingredients are present / absent in natural & organic cosmetics?
   > What are the major classes of natural & organic cosmetic ingredients?
