manufacturers, formulators and ingredient companies are looking at the

Workshop 1: Critical Review of Natural & Organic Cosmetic Standards

first
workshop will introduce the major natural & organic cosmetic standards.
A comparative assessment will be undertaken in which the prohibited /
allowed cosmetic ingredients will be reviewed, followed by the technical
& formulation issues involved. Features of the
workshop:

natural & organic cosmetic
standards?
> What are the details of the NaTrue standard, and other standards
like Ecocert, SA, BDIH?
> What are the details of American standards like OASIS, NSF, and
NPA?
> What are the differences between these standards?
> What are the practical implications of adopting these different standards?
> What is the process to get a cosmetic product / ingredient get certified?
> What are the technical issues concerning ingredients,
formulations, etc.?
> What guidance can be given to companies looking to adopt these
standards?
Workshop 2: Challenges in Formulating Natural & Organic Cosmetics

The
second workshop will look specifically at the
technical issues and formulation challenges companies face with natural
& organic cosmetics. This workshop is designed for cosmetic
manufacturers and ingredient companies looking to understand and
overcome the challenges when developing green
formulations and using natural and organic ingredients.
