Organic Monitor was established in 2001 with the mission to assist operators
in the organic products supply chain by providing accurate and timely
business information. The first service we launched was Industry Watch,
providing news updates on the international organic products industry
via our website and e-newsletter.
In 2001 we started producing business research publications on the
European organic food industry. The following year, our geographic focus
widened to other regions including Asia and North America. We
have since become the largest
publisher of market research reports on the
global organic products industry, producing reports that cover
product categories and industry sectors.
To address the specific needs of our clients, we added customised research to our services portfolio in 2002. We
now undertake a broad range of customised research projects
that involve providing market data, customer
profiles, competitive benchmarking, strategic inputs, etc. We also provide
business consulting to companies looking for expert
advice on the natural & organic product industries.
In 2003 we broadened our specialisation from organic products to related
industries that include natural
cosmetics, dairy alternatives, functional
foods and ingredients. Organic Monitor now
assists a diverse group of operators in these related sectors.
We stepped up our activities in Asia and North America
in 2004 by appointing dedicated analysts and consultants in these
regions. Geographic expansion has given us a truly international
presence in our specialist industries.
Our services portfolio broadened further to encompass seminars & workshops in 2006,
and technical research in 2007.
Our technical research division provides guidance and advice on organic & natural
standards, certification, formulation and ingredient issues. We now
provide a range of technical & business solutions to operators in the
organic and related industries.
Following the success of our international workshops, Organic Monitor
launched a a series of sustainability summits in 2009. The Sustainable
Cosmetics Summit and Sustainable Foods Summit cover the leading
sustainability issues faced by the beauty and food industries
respectively.
Now in our ninth year, Organic Monitor
continues to build on its reputation as a first-rate
provider of research, consulting & training in our specialist
industries.
